After an 18 month absence, Salty Dog and her owners were happy to return to Two Harbors at Catalina Island for the Easter holiday. What a great time of year to be there, too.... the island was green, the wildflowers were blooming, the weather was warm, and the harbor wasn't too full. The main event of the weekend was when our friend Andre decided we all needed to hike to Catalina Grove, located up the VERY STEEP hill behind the Banning House. We figure that in total, we (along with Sadie and Fletcher) hiked about 4 or 5 miles that day. And although is was quite a workout, the view from the top was spectacular. And afterward Andre bought the beers, so all was well! Scroll down for the photos...
